VN SEAL 109 is an improved 2-component Polymer cement-based waterproofing paint. It is applied to waterproof concrete floors in areas that are frequently damp or have standing water.

The specifications are:

Material consumption for 1m2 with 1mm thickness is 1.5-2 kg depending on the surface area

Construction

Preparation: The foot of the wall (the surface raised 25cm) must be constructed and plastered

The technical box (if any) must be constructed and plastered

Cleaning the floor surface:

The floor surface must be cleaned thoroughly. All attached debris on the floor during construction and plastering must be removed completely.

Mixing waterproofing

Mix using a mixer or hand-held mixer with a stirring speed of 450-550 rpm

Mix the two pre-dosed components A and B.

Mix the mixture for at least 3 minutes to achieve the required uniformity of the mortar mixture Waterproofing

Step 1: Waterproofing the wall and floor junction

The entire length of the wall and floor junction must be waterproofed first. While waterproofing, apply a glass mesh to the wall to prevent cracking during use.

Step 2: Waterproofing the floor surface

Apply the first layer to the entire floor surface and roll it up onto the foot of the wall for a length of 20-25cm. Apply the layer vertically (roll from the inside out). Then let it dry for 3 hours (if the room is stuffy, use a fan to speed up the drying process)

Apply the second layer to the entire floor surface and roll it up onto the foot of the wall for a length of 20-25cm. This time, apply the layer horizontally (perpendicular to the first layer to ensure no location is missed on the floor surface). Then let it dry for 6-8 hours.

Waterproofing inspection: By testing with water

After the second waterproofing layer has dried, test with water for 3 days to check the waterproofing work (The waterproofing work is considered to meet the requirements if the water does not seep down to the floor below).

Rolling the floor to protect the waterproofing layer

After the water testing is complete - if the floor is not leaking - it is necessary to roll the floor to protect the waterproofing layer before proceeding with the tiling work.

Cleaning:

Clean all tools and equipment immediately after use with water. Waterproofing can only be removed mechanically once it has hardened.
